3D Systems Announces Availability of Industry's First Polypropylene Material

Rock Hill, South Carolina, Oct. 16, 2008 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of 3-D Printing, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, announced today the availability of DuraForm® PP 100 Plastic, a new sintering material with the toughness and durability of molded polypropylene. 3D Systems plans to offer this material through its online Pro Parts Marketplace and its network of Preferred Service Providers (PSPs).

Developed jointly with TRIAL Corporation of Kanagawa, Japan, DuraForm® PP 100 Plastic is the first polypropylene-based Rapid Manufacturing material, enabling fast, economical manufacturing of production-quality prototypes and batches of end-use parts. Polypropylene is one of the most versatile and widely used plastics and is utilized in the packaging, medical and automotive industries. Polypropylene parts are rugged with excellent chemical resistance. For parts requiring living hinges, their fatigue life is also excellent.

3D Systems unveiled DuraForm® PP 100 Plastic, developed as DuraForm® XR300, in mid-June at the Design Engineering & Manufacturing Solutions Expo (DMS) in Tokyo, Japan. 3D Systems will display parts made from DuraForm® PP 100 Plastic and discuss its capabilities in more detail at its World Conference from October 20-23, 2008, in Charlotte, NC/Rock Hill, SC.

AdvaTech Manufacturing Receives AS 9100 Certification

Goodland, IN – April 27, 2007 – AdvaTech Manufacturing, a division of Butler Tool and Design, has been awarded the AS 9100 Quality Management Systems certification. The AS 9100 certification is inclusive of the more common ISO 9001 standards and also includes additional requirements that apply specifically to the aerospace industry. 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: TDSC), a leading provider of rapid 3-D printing, prototyping and manufacturing solutions, announced today that Butler Tool & Design, Inc. has purchased a 3D Systems’ Sinterstation® Pro SLS® system, Model 230, for its facility in Goodland, Indiana. 3D Systems expects to deliver and install its first large capacity Sinterstation Pro 230 system at Butler Tool by September of this year.
